question? what gun do i have?
my buddy has a gun it says 270 winchester on the barrell and the stock has ruger imbeded in the stock , what is this gun a winchester or a ruger? were they combined or somthing or is this done aftermarket

I would go with whatever the barrel says but then again i haven't seen the rifle. the stock may have been modified to fit the winchester. Hope that helps

IMHO, Ruger made the rifle and....
the rifle is chambered for 270 Winchester, a well known cartridge chambered in MANY different brands of rifles. My first high power was a Remington 700 chambered for 270 Win. I believe you are confusing rifle manufacturers vs cartridge chamberings. EKM |

It should have the manufaturer's name stamped on the barrel also, something like "Ruger Arms" and a city/state, along with the model
