410 pistol?
 

I man I work with ask if I had ever seen a .410 pistol. He said he would like to have one for rabbit season. I don't think I have ever seen one. Does anyone know of such an animal

I've seen one. I forget the maker but it was a 5 shot revolver I beleive. It also shot 45 long colt shells as well.

I may be wrong but I think the T/C Contender has a .410 barrel available for it.

down wind,I shot one a few years ago I also forgot the name. I shot the 410 sheels from it and i didnt get excited.The pistol was very heavy and nothing to write home about.Didnt have much kick,for rabbits it would be ok if you see them sitting but thats what the make 22 pistols for.Just my 2cents worth.

I have shot the one that outdoorsmen mentioned. It's called the Thunder 5.

I thought it was a real POS. The spent .410 casings don't extract for beans because they expand too much. When you're shooting .45 LC, the gun is not accurate at any distance past the end of my, well, it's not accurate. For rabbit hunting, the contender would be a better choice.

The Thunder 5 is a waste of time and money, IMNSHO. Also, somebody mentioned this as a great home defense gun. It's not accurate w/ .45 and you can't reload very easily/quickly with .410. So, I wouldn't want to stake my life on it. Besides, why buy a gimmick to fail at a job that a good .357 wheel gun(like an SP101 or 686) or a good auto (Glock, H&K, 1911, SIG)can do so much better.
