Dove tail blank
 

I'm going to remove the front and rear site on a Marlin 336SS and I was wondering if anyone knows of a dove tail blank that comes in SS or some silver color so that it won't look so bad. Where can I get them.

I have been getting a lot of crap from the local gun shops. They don't seem to want to do it. (Go through the hassle of finding it)

Some guys are real jerks aren't they? Not enough profit to bother with. Any gunsmith should have one.

Aside from that, you could give Marlin a call. If you talk to the right guy, he might just send you one.

Yes I have run into a few jerks. However, I won't be going there to get anything so it pretty much solves my problem.

That is a good suggestion I'm going to call Marlin.

Might want to try a higher volume retailer that does alot of scope mounting on hunting rifles. A Gander Mountain store would be a good place to look. I wouldn't bother ever dealing with a gunsmith who won't take the time to take care of the small details on your firearms.
