weaterby vanguard in 7mm rem or 300 mag?

The local walmart has these on clearance for $225. Which caliber would be better? Would add to collection but may be used for hunting in future. I think 7mm rem ammo is cheaper.

I would get the 7 mag.! ...Or the .300 for that price. I have a .300 Weatherby and it's a great shooter...:D

Thanks for your response. I'd like to get both for the price, but i can't. Think I might go with the 7MM.

Go with the 300 Wby. Mag. you will be able to hunt any game in North America with it. ;) Good luck.

Thanks for the help! I got the 300 mag. Might be planning a caribou trip next year. Now I need a scope. Any suggestions? Also can you get wood stocks for the vanguard? Having trouble finding one.

Try www.boydboys.com they might have a stock for you. The first thing you have to decide is how much you want to spend on a scope. Good luck.
