RE: 1st Caliber opinion: .243 Win.
 

Bought my 8 year old a Rossi Matched Pair Youth 20ga/243. Although he hunted last year he is going on his first real deer hunt Oct 30-31. Special youth hunt in Texas. I have the rifle sighted dead on at 100 with 100grn premium feds 3x9 Tasco. His shot will likley be less than 100. I wont allow him to shoot any further due to his skill level at this time. With a rest he is capable of 100 yd shot less buck fever. Anyway the little rifle fits him good and I am confident in the caliber. Our bucks are around 110lbs in East Texas.
