What would you do??????
Most of you know that I have been wrestling with the glass bedding issue for a couple months.
Well I sent to brownells for a new stock and it was damaged. Dings, dents and scratches. So I returned the stock for a replacement, and this one too was not that great, better, but still not up to my liking. Would you take the chance of sending the rifle to the factory for a new stock and bedding job at 35 to 50 dollars more plus shipping, and not be sure that stock would be any nicer? |
RE: What would you do??????
I just got a Hogue rubber covered stock for my 260 rugermk11 I haven't gotten to shoot it yet but it looks and feels great.
It was in perfect condition when I got it,it is pillar bedded and the barrel is free floated. It cost 89.oo shipping and all. |

F4YG,
What kind of stock wood or synthetic, and what brand? If it were me I would get a HS or McMillan synthetic. For a wood stock check out Richards Micro-fit. Rem. 222 |
RE: What would you do??????
Rem, its a wood stock and its the MR7 from Marlin so I'm kinda limited.

RE: What would you do??????
F4YG,
If you send it back to Marlin atleast you'll have a factory stock and properly fitted. If it's only 35-50.00 more I would send it to Marlin.I try to keep all my toys original whenever possible. Ruger Redhawk |

F4YG,
You actually bought one of those?<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> The clubby stock was the only drawback they had as far as I was concerned. I'm surprised Marlin didn't redesign the stock and keep making them. Rem. 222 |
