Benelli Nova - Shotgun

Does anyone know anything about the Benelli Nova Pump Action Shotgun, intended for Turkey? It costs about $350 at Dunhams Sporting goods.

Any info would be appreciated because I am considering purchasing it.

Thanks
Tom

i've got 15-20 friends that shoot the nova pumps, and only one of them told me he didn't like it that well, but for the life of me i can't remember what he didn't like, i'll try to find out, good gun from what i've seen. but the wife suprised me 2 yrs ago with a sbe:D, and i already had a 835, life is good

I have one I use for upland hunting. It is a wonderful hun. Especially for the money. But it does have a pretty good kick with heavy loads. I noticed that goose hunting with 3 inch shells. But shooting field loads is really comfortable.

Mine has been 100% reliable and has shot everything from clays, to geese to doves. Great gun!

My only complaint is that they're all plastic. They're durable as can be, but there's a lot of black plastic staring at you. Another complaint, which is expected, is the recoil. They don't weigh anything, with 3" mags they get pretty hot, and with the new 3.5" mags, they're even worse. Although I REALLY like being able to have one gun that can handle 2 3/4", 3", and 3.5" shells!!!!

I wish I would have gotten my current one in the camo finish instead of the black, maybe then I wouldn't feel so awkward holding it. I've always been pretty traditional when it comes to shotguns, my rifles can be from the future, but my shotguns usually tend to be "old school".

I have one which I've used for most all my shotgunning uses at one time or another. I personnaly think it is a great gun and very durable. One of the better guns out there for the money.

I love mine. They have a recoil supresser that goes in the stock. I put one in mine and it really helps. Costs about 45-50 bucks though. Mine is the camo waterfowl version with a 26 inch tube.
