Guys you won't believe how little the 7 RUM kicks with this brake. It's a tap that's all. A loud tap but still a tap.

You're not the guy at Red Castle with one of these brakes on an AR-15 are you?
Maybe. Are you buying the membership for me? I'm too nervous to outshoot you rich guys and get mowing duty!![:@]

By the way, only Wuss's or people with shoulder problems shoots breaks, if you have to brake it, its too big for ya.
I guess I'm the king Wuss then and I welcome you to my kingdom and ask you to try one of these brakes!! It's not exactly too much gun without it but the most I ever shot was 12 rounds at the bench. That 13th round was making me timid and mad financially because I wouldn't want to shoot any other rifles I took along. My shooting range charges $10 per man/day so the way I figure it the brake has saved me more money than I spent on it because I can stay there long enough to shoot several guns until I'm bored or out of ammo.

To each his own sooner. I would rather invest in a lead sled or something like that to do load developement for an accurate load then practice offhanded, shots. I hate to admit this, but what the hey. I had a break on a 300weathby once. I took it on a few hunts moose hunting. The extra length was not pratical for me in the touch terrain of NF. I needed something shorter and more handy. I didn't like cleaning with the break. It just didn't suit my hunting style or the places I hunt.

Hey, if you think Red Castle is for rich guys you've been misled. An NRA member only pays $60/year. If you're paying $10/day it might be worth checking into. Great facility and ranges.

Thanks whisky it was more of a joke. I've always wanted to get a membership and probably someday will. Are you a member and if so do you shoot rifle and shotgun?

I've been a member out there for eight years. I use all of their ranges depending on time of year. Anything you want to shoot they have a range specifically for it. Benchrest, Plinking, Smallbore, Action Pistol, Pistol, Skeet, Sporting Clays. I drive 45 miles to get there and it is well worth it.

Well call me a wuss too cause I shoot a 300RUM with a brake and it doesn't bother me a bit! I can shoot it fine without the brake but why would I want to? I shoot a 300 RUM because I want the extra steam, but that doesn't mean I have to punish myself to own one. I can shoot awhole lot more with less worry of building a flinch which translates to better accuracy in the field. At almost 50 years old, I don't feel the need to prove I'm macho.
