Who hear uses a 30-06 for deer huntint?
 

Just was wondering who here uses a 30-06 for deer hunting. I got my 30-06 3 years ago and absolutely love using it. I own a Remington 7600 Pump Action 30-06.

I have 3 .30-06s

1- sako this rifle is great !!!!!

1- remington 760 semi was given to me for free I wouldnt spen my $$$$ on this model, but it does shot well

1- winchester pre-64, gun is in great shape, no need to use it

I have a few 30-06's around, includeing a Valmet 412, a Krieghoff drilling in 06, and a Rem 742 semi auto..

"If" i could only have one big game rifle, the 30-06 would be at or near the top of my list of choises!

I hunt with a .30-06 also!!! I have two- A Savage 110 and a Sears Model 53, which my Grandpa gave me 6 years ago, and which I killed my first deer with. I will never get rid of that one, its basically Winchester Model 70 with the Sears name on it.

I do, it's a rem model six, great gun for a rem. shot more than a few deer past the 400 yd. mark with open sites. To bad Rem. can't make shotguns as good as their rifles.

Me too. 7600 Remington 30-06. Great gun. No need for much else. I still want the others though.;)

I hunt deer with a .30.06 Sprg. JC Higgins Model 51. Good luck.

I do!!!! The 30-06 is definately my choice because of its power! I took my first deer with my remington 700 30-06:D

Yep. 1969 Winchester M70 30.06 and it's my favorite.

Read my name. Been using 06 since I was 16.(50 now) Why use anything else. It does it all. May not be the sexiest young thing out there but it'll always be there and ready. Just got a new Rem CDL with Zeiss Conquest scope. I've shot others but felt guilty doing it and always come right back to my 06.

i have an 06 remington 742 nice lil deer rifle but i think this year i will be useing my necked down 3006 rem 700 bdl in 280 !!:D

I've been hunting a little over 30 years and just bought my first .30-06 this year. It's a pre-64 Winchester Model 70. So far I like it, though I still prefer my Sakos. I plan on using the .30-06 this year as my primary deer rifle.

Hehehe... I gots me one of them hybrid '06's too. The '06 is a great gun. Been reloading for them for years... a M98 chambered in '06 with a medium weight barrel residing in a Kevlar stock goes to the range with me. Lots of bullets to choose from and fun to shoot, but I prefer my bow for deer.

I use a 700 ADL Synthetic, my only big game rifle.

I have a Remington 7400 in 30-06.

I bought it because I couldn't find a cheap left-handed bolt action. I've heard bad things about the 7400 but so far (knock on wood) the gun hasn't given me any problems at all. (9 deer with 9 shots... so I'm not really testing the action :) )

I love the caliber. There's a huge range of bullets available and you can buy them just about anywhere.
