Sako 75 Stainless Synthetic

I am considering buying one of these rifles in 30-06 or 300 WSM. What do you guys think?

Never saw a Sako I didn't like. I had one in .338 for a real long time, although it was blue steel. I wish remington and winchester could take a hint.

I've got an '06 but it's wood/blued. It is a dandy and a shooter. If ya got the cash go for it... I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I have a Sako finnlite in 7mm rem mag. With 150 Btips I can get 1/2" groups wih 2 different powders and this week I worked up a load for 160 accubonds that is giving me 3/4". They are the best "off the rack" rifle you can buy in my opinion. No need to replace the stock, trigger and barrel to make the shoot sub MOA! The regular models are too heavy in my opinion, check out the finnlite.

I have a sako 75 in stainless/synthetic. Chambered in 7mm rem mag. My favorite gun. It may be a little on the heavy side, but it shoots like nobodys business. I would definitely recommend a sako!

I have a Sako 75 stainless/synthetic in 300 wby with a Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10 scope.

Bore sighted in the store and resighted at home, shooting remington safari factory ammo, first shot out of the box at 100 yrds was 1 inch low and 1 inch to the left, adjusted the scope to be 3" high and center, next three shots were in a minute grouping approx. 3" high and just right of center. I was very pleased, actually amazed, can't say enough about the gun.

They cost a few bucks but worth every dollar.

I personally can't wait to run across a 75 in one of the WSM calibers.

Its funny you say that Oldelkhunter,

They have chambered for it this year but most guys at the range, including myself are not fans of the WSM's. Guess we're a little conservative, personally I don't see the hype. The animal won't notice it.

Just a thought?

340wbymag...the 75 would be a perfect platform for a WSM, better then anything currently chambered for them...I like WSM's and yes they work and no an animal will not feel the difference. I like them because their not finnicky like other magnum calibers are to load. Judging by the amount of ammo Ihave seen at most gun stores lately they seem to be quite popular.
