I REALLY LIKE THE NIKONS MY SELF. LATELY HOWEVER I HOW BEEN USEING BURRIS SCOPES AND FROM WHERE IM SITTING THEY ARE THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER USED. ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING COST YOU CAN GET THERE FULLFEILD II LINE FOR AROUND $200 THEY HOLD ZERO PERFECTLY AND ARE A BIT BRIGHTER THAN LEUPOLD'S THAT I HAVE OWNED ALSO CLEAR ALL THE WAY TO THE EDGES OF THE RETICAL ALSO LIKE THE BALLISTA PLEX

I havehad great success with the Leupold 4.5 by 14.5 Vari X III Long range 50mmobj. 30 mm tube side focus model!!!!

I used it out west and in the mountains and it works great!!!!

Sometimes it better to have the scope cost more than the gun.

whoops i lied,,,at first i was thinking of which is in my opion which is the best..I can not afford a ziess..if i could i would forsure have one on my rifle. i have a tasco. am going to up garde very soon though...any thoughts on the below 200 dollar budget?

I havent gone thru all these posts, but from some skimming, I didnt see anyone mention a Super Sniper. I dont know if they are actually made by Tasco any longer but anyone who tries them swears by them. I have several atop my rifles and couldnt ask for more. At $300.00, they compete with leupold Tacticals 3x its price. Longrange shooters/snipers have their reviews up all over the net if interested.

If its good enough for tactical use, then its more than enough for hunting. Some say too much is bad for hunting, but that stigma needs to go away, and fast. The adjustable objective models are supposed to come out soon for those interested in a non fixed model.

Other than that, in the past Ive used Bushnell Banners, Bushnell Rangemasters, Nikons, Tascos you can buy in the stores, and a couple Leupold models(non tactical).

Currently the Super Snipers are sitting atop a Rem 700 VLS .308, Rem 700 VS .308, Rem 700 LSS .300wm, Rem 700 Sendero SF 7mm.

I'll get another for Rems re-introduction of the Sendero line due in a few weeks, and put the AO model on the Rem 700 CDL SF Ltd. in .30-06 I want to pick up.

The parallax adj. allows you to shoot as close as 15 yards so its not a problem being fixed models, unless all of your animals you're hunting are super close most of the time :D

too much interferance w/ the reticle i think at at close range ..have not ever owned it looked through it at the store nd just what i thought. nice looking scope though.

Simmons will always be on my rifles. Seems I have owned two bushnells over the years and both were sent back to the factory, the second one I told them they could keep. By chance bought a Simmons and never had an ounce of trouble. Bumped them and still shooting in bull......so just hard to switch. Except I do wish they would make a scope that was a little longer!

I use and only buy Leupolds for my rifle, shotgun and pistols. Nothing else.
