Scope Mount Help
I just got my Sako and Tikka rifles and went out this past Saturday looking for scope mounts. I ended up putting Leupold rings on my Sako 75 Hunter with a Zeiss Conquest 3-10.5*44mm scope. Was that a mistake or should I have waited to find Sako rings?
I have a Leupold VARX-III 3-105.*40mm scope for my Tikka Whitetail (30-06). Do you'll recommend Leupold rings or Tikka rings? Where can I find Tikka rings? The Tikka reciever has the dovetail rail but is also tapped for a base. Is a base necessary or can I just use the rings attached to the rail? Thanks. |
RE: Scope Mount Help
There's nothing wrong with Leupold rings.I wouldn't hesitate abit using them on any of my rifles.I have always used Redfield rings and bases.Ruger Redhawk

I wouldn't use anything but Leupold or Burris rings and bases.

RE: Scope Mount Help
Leopold and Redfield bases are one and the same. They are the best bases, strong and simple. Milett makes good bases and rings as well however I don't care for the windage adjustmentson the bases, too much room for error and they can shake loose.
