Need help and advice.
 

Hey guys, I really need some help on this one. Did anybody ever dealt with Ritchie Hart from Carolina Custom Gunstocks? I did and after 17 weeks I'm still waiting for Mr. Hart to process my order. My real problem is that I can't contact Mr. Hart anymore! After he received my 225$ U.S. he told me that it would take a few weeks and that he would notify me before he'd send the stock, that was the last contact with him. I tried calling and leaving messages and through E-mail which are now flagged with "delivery failure notification".
What should I do next? Is the business still up and running? How do I find out if I can get my money back? I don't mind to wait some more if he would tell me I'll eventually get my stock.
Please help me out.

I just took a look at his webpag. Seems he makes some 10-22 stocks. You might want to ask over at http://www.rimfirecentral.com They might know him and know what is up.

Another option is to call the Sheriff....

Ask him if he could check on Mr. Hart, since you have paid him for a stock and can not get ahold of him.

The third option is, If you paid cash then you can file a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs (not good for Mr. Hart if he receives several of these). Granted it proably won't help get your money back.

The only other option I can think of if none of the above work, is to take him to small claims court. Granted this will envolve time and money for you plus I don't know how it would work if you live out of state.

I would go in that order just in case he is sick or behind in work. I would guess someone at http://www.rimfirecentral.com could help you.
