357 Bullets

I have a Winchester Model 94 Trails End and I am looking for some cheap bullets to just shoot out of it. They dont need to be really accurate and I dont want ones that are corrosive. I just want them for plinking not hunting.

Thanks-Bobby

Hi fgdcd,

Will your 94 function properly with .38 Specials. Some of the levers will cycle the shorter .38 Specials and some won't without modifications. If yours will function with them and you are only looking for plinking ammo the .38 Special is considerably less expensive than .357 Magnum loads. I think WalMart now sells .38 Specials in their 100 bulk packs. They are normally a good buy. However you also may find some of your local gunshops that carry "remanufactured" .38's that are both reliable and extremely inexpensive.

Good luck.

As AK said, look at .38. Midway sells them as low as $6.43/50, and $6.00/50 if you buy 20 boxes ($120).

Good Luck

Hi thanks for the help I dont know if my gun will shoot .38 I will look into it and are those American eagles lead or are they jacketed. I do not want to shoot non jacketed bullets.

Thanks-Bobby

I'd seriously think about reloading. I can reload a box of 50 jacketed .357 bullets for under $6.00/50. IMO half of the fun is tinkering with loads to see what shoots best out of my guns. If you shoot alot that is deffinitely the way to go.

Bobby, I suspect you are looking for loaded ammunition, NOT BULLETS?? Am I correct?? This guess is based on your asking for something that is not corrosive, which description applies to ammo but not to bullets, eh?? If I am right, please be advised that there never has been any .357 Magnum ammo loaded with corrosive primers! So any you buy is safe in this regard. (The .357 Magnum cartridge was designed after all American ammo manufacturers had stopped using corrosive primers.)
