New .270wsm which bullet for deer??
Just got a new Kimber in a .270wsm. im looking for the best bullet and weight for whitetails. Barns, Sirrocco, Trophybonded Bear Claw, ect.
Any Ideas?? |

If you hit a whitetail in the right place...It won't matter. The 270WSM is a smokin caliber.
I've seen the best results from the mid-weight Barnes bullets. |

Anything that you can throw out of that caliber will be fine for whitetails. Go with what you are comfortable with and have at it.

What ever bullet gives you the best accuracy. It could be a regular ole core lokt or power point to the Barnes or TBBC. Any of them will do the job very effectively and I would bet all of them will exit the deer. Whitetails are not especially hard to put down.

I find the 130-grain Nosler Partition to be just about the perfect .277" bullet for most game in the lower 48. When I go to Alaska, I switch to the 150 Nosler Partiton.....
