9mm carbine
Does anybody have any experience with a hi-point 9mm carbine? Do you use them for hunting? How accurate and dependable? I saw in a recent test where writers ranked them just as high as the ruger PC-9. |
RE: 9mm carbine
I've got a buddy that has one. I've shot it a little. He takes it with him on his back when he goes coyote hunting. It's light and you'd never know it was there. He hasn't said anything about it ever misfiring or jamming. I don't know how accurate it sure is but it is a lot of fun to shoot!

RE: 9mm carbine
Although we all know you can kill something with a rock I'ld much rather use something else. I wouldn't choose a 9mm rifle or handgun for hunting or self defense if I had something else around. Maybe that rock could be of some use..........<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

RE: 9mm carbine
They seem to be more reliable then the pistols for some reason. My cousin had one and I had a chance to shoot it. Not bad, but most of the shooting was at combat silhouete's at 50yds. Drilled 'em dead center though and I never seen or heard about it jamming on him. And he would scream to high heaven if it did.

RE: 9mm carbine
I almost bought one last year, but didn't really see a use for it. Only reason I even considered it was I could have picked it up for $90.00 from a friend.

RE: 9mm carbine
I shoot mine occasionally, I have never had any problems with accuracy or feeding, it is just a toy I have never hunted with it. I have heard of 100yd shots at coyotes with good results but have never seen this. They are a cheap way to burn some ammo, Why not get one practice never hurt anyone.
