Your dad might want to try Milsurpshooter.net as one website. Gunboards.com is another good website to check out. Another thing to do is to do a Google search for mauser rifles and visit the various websites that come up. A third thing is to check Google for Curio & Relic websites as there is a fair amount of information there.

One good book to have is Mauser Military Rifles of the World - 3rd edition by Robert Ball; check the various booksellers to see where you can get the best price.

Good Luck to you and your dad and welcome to the world of Mauser addiction

I have Muaser Military Rifles of the World, it's good but is lacking in a lot of things.
But this book and "The Muaser Bolt Actions, a Shop Manual" by Jerry Kuhnhausen seen to compliment each othe very well.
Lot of usefull info.

Good luck
