Sweaty Carry Pistol

Well, I'll get right to the point. All of the men in my dad's family (myself included) sweat profusely in the slightest heat. I'm young and lean, but my brow beads up the moment I step outside from the A/C. With hunting it's not a problem because the temperatures are usually pretty comfortable in April and certainly so later on in the fall and winter. But I'm having a real problem keeping sweat off of/away from my holster now that Summer's here.

My preferred carry method is strong-side inside the pants, with a lightweight button-front shirt concealing the holster. Can anyone recommend a good inside-the-pant holster than protects from moisture?

I should also mention that I'm currently packing a Steyr M40, which is about the same size as a SIG P228/229. I'm also on the lookout for a good sweat-resistant holster for a Ruger SP-101 (for my wife, but we might switch from time to time).

Well I carry a Sidearmor IWB http://www.sidearmor.net with a sweat shield. I love the holster, carries very well, holds the firearm well, and protects it from sweat. Though they don't make a holster for the Steyer or Ruger.

You might want to check with G-Code, I know that http://www.gunnersalley.com/ carries that holster, not sure if they make it for your models though. They are great to do business with though, if you e-mail them, they actually answer back in a day, they could help you.

If you want a good inside that pants get the Milt Sparks Executive model. Probably the best designed holster you and find for that application there is. The firearm rides where it should because holster is properly designed when compare to others on the market and has shield piece to keep firearm off the body.

Forgot to mention http://www.tuckergunleather.com/ He makes some great leather and has a nice OWB with a sweat guard.

Not too be a smart a$$, but is that one of the fobus holsters that has a recall? Some of their holsters have been recalled for design problem. Gun can discharge when being inserted into holster. Great designing!
