Browning Abolt, Rem 700 Need Help with choice
 

In case you dont know i just bought a winchester m 70 stainless. Anyway the other day i ran into some $ and i want to buy another rifle. Anyway i think i want to go diffrent and get another brand then winchester. I am stuck between the Remington 700 Mountain LSS and the Browning A Bolt Hunter. They both fit me well. I am also thinking about the Remington 700 with a synthetic stock and stainless steel barrel and action. It is hard to explain but i dont really need the gun, im just treating myself to one. Then i am also thinking just to go cheap and get a Remington 700 BDL. Any cool suggestions is great!

Take back what i said. Im now just deciding between an A bolt and a Winchester 70 Classic Featherweight. I might get the abolt just to have an assortment or i might get the m 70 to be loyal i dont know! oh yeah the caliber is 3006

What calibers are you looking at, what calibers do you currently own, and what are your intentions with the rifle? Very important questions that need to be answered.

Just curious have you already purchased some quality glass an rings for your winchester you just bought? If not id do that before getting another gun. If you did then id just see wich of the two fit me the best. I realy love my winchester model 70 featherweight, it fits me perfeclty. May be difrent for you though. If you can hold both rifles one will stick out to you.

i'd get the browning, just bc thats all ive ever shot. shotguns or rifles. i have a new 7 wsm in synthetic and it shoots incredibly tight groups.

Between the Abolt Hunter and the Model 70 Featherweight Classic I would go with the Model 70 , But then I already did the model 70 is what I shoot .
Charlie Brown the only thing necessary to buy a gun is I like it and I got the money . Its as simple as that .;)

I do not own a model 70 or an a bolt - However I do handle them daily
at the gun shop I work at. Personally I think the featherweight is hard
to beat. Fits most people well. If they carried a left hand model in my desired
caliber I would have bought one already. Cheers

I have had all three. I love the 70 action over all others. I have used 700 actions for custom rifles. I used to give people a hard time over the jap browning. But I found a medallion in perfect condition for 450 dollars in a 308. so I said, what the hey and bought it. It is the only rifle, I didn't have to take to the gunsmith for something.

Finish was perfect, trigger was crisp and at 3lbs. Barrel was freefloated perfectly. Took out of box and shot 1" groups with my tried and trusted 165gr gameking, 46gr of varget and 210 primer. I no longer say anything bad about Browning rifles. It just works.

I love my mod70's but it was a long road to get it to shoot like my medallion. Had to get the 6lb trigger down to 2.5lb, and had to have glassbedded, and barrel floated.

I owned one A-bolt, will never own another. It had many flaws and the person I talked with at Browning was a jerk. Never have I seen such poor customer relations. He acted like they were doing me a favor when I bought the rifle.
I have never had a problem with any other gun maker.

rc, I'm a southpaw and up until a few years ago couldn't get a Win in left hand bolt. I have Savages, Remingtons and one Browning Micro hunter. I really like the quality of the Browning and just love the bolt handle contour and the 60 degree bolt throw.
Mine is a 7-08 and seriously comtemplating getting another in 300 WSM.
