RE: 300 RUM SHOOTERS
Sorry if I mis-lead anyone, I was just repeating what I heard from a Factory Rep. Maybe that was his way of getting me to buy the Corlok Ultras. I should of mentioned that I used a factory 160gn NP last year on a Colorado Mule Deer, and it appeared to perform well shedding most of the leading lead. I guess I'm more upset because I purchased the 7mm RUM knowing I had 140 & 160 Nosler Partitions, and even a 175 gn SAF. Now I have a cartridge with nearly the power as the 300 RUM but only a 140 CLU available from the factory. I guess if I want to continue using the 7mm RUM, I need to consider reloading......

RE: 300 RUM SHOOTERS
Bad company decisions. Remington president should be fired. Just because you need to cut some spending, doesn't mean you streamline the ammo to one type that directly hurts your guns sales, that directly hurts your ammo sales. A horrible cycle they put themselves in. Just because you need to make up some money don't mean you go cheap on your guns. A bad reputation is hard to shake. Ask Savage.
Hey they wanted it that way. Wouldn't let anyone load the RUM except them. WSM has much better approach. Now the WSM has several vendors selling brass, and over a dozen loads available. So gun sales are not directly linked to ammo sales. They are two independent sources for the most part. Thank goodness I reload. |
