.17 cal
 

most all companys are pushing this little .17 cal whats so hot about it? doesent seem like it would shoot far or for that matter have any knock down power seeing how its only a 15 gr bullet. seems like the slightest wind would jump the bullet all over.

Well,all it is is a necked down .22 mag,but supposedly has more energy and velocity. From an article i read in one of my magazines(forgot which one),it is actually supposed to hold up fairly decent in the wind,but i personally cant back this up. If the ballistics are correct compared to the wmr, then it should be a great round for prairie dogs and the like, but probably wouldnt be the best for coyotes and other medium sized varmints. Anyway, you wont see me rushin out to buy one.
