RE: Ultra Mags

I don't think there will be a whole lot of trouble with barrel burn-out as much as throat errosion. And I don't care who says what, thats not that big of a deal. I know a fellow who has a remington 40x in 6mm rem. He wanted to turn the bbl down and lighten it up a bit. He only paid a couple hundred bucks so he did not care. THe smith who was going to do the work told him the first 3 or 4 inches of rifling were gone and the thing wasn't worth a penny! He also told him the gun could never shoot straight with that bbl. turns out, thats a 1/2 inch gun! Even with the buggered up rifling! You may be suprised with the accuracy you might get.
