Another dumb question
 

I know some of you guys glass bed all your rifles. Has anyone ever bedded a composite stocked rifle? Does it do any good?

I have read good and bad articles on the issue. Don't know what to believe. I know the 2 wood stocked bolt action rifles I've done showed good improvement in accuracy.

It doesn't matter what the stock is made of, either the action is bedded properly or it isn't!! If it isn't, then re-bedding it is going to help!!

By all means, if your rifle needs bedding, do it. Doesn't matter what the stock is made of.

The only ones I don't bed are the composite stocks with an aluminum bedding block.
Then I make sure that the block an the action surfaces are parallel and the fore-end is not touching the barrel.
