I cant say ive shot enough rifles to have a true favorite factory trigger, but I can say I hate the older Savage triggers. Those things suck.

The best factory trigger(IMHO) is T/C's early Contender, copmpletely adjustable & safe!

If you're talking out of the box ,without making any adjustment ,I'd have to say Weatherby's MarkV.
Outside of that all the others are adjustable so it's pretty much a mute point. Big Game rifle should never be brought down below 3 1/2 lbs anyway for 99% of the applications they are used for.

CZ by far, next would be the old Remington 700.

As it comes from the factory compared to the 4-6lb Remington,Winchester and Ruger stock triggers i am assuming.
Oldelkhunter,

Yes, I am talking about as it comes from the factory, straight out of the box. Of the several Savage rifles I have gotten in the last few months, they have the following trigger settings, straight out of the box. . I weighed them with a NRA style trigger weight, rounded off to the nearest 1/4 pound. Sorry I don't have the newer digital readout style trigger gage.

1- 12BVSS-S in 220 Swift has a 1.25# trigger.
2- 12BVSS in .308 Win has a 1.5# trigger.
3- 10FP-LE2B in .308 Win has a sub 2# trigger.
4- Seirra 10FM in .308 Win has a sub 3# trigger.
5- 16FSS in .243 Win has a sub 3.5# trigger.

Of the couple of dozen or so, Savage 10ML-II muzzleloaders that I have handled over the past couple of months, most have had triggers in the 3-4# range, and a couple have gone sub 3#.

Since the criteria is for factory set triggers, straight out of the box, I beleive the Savage Accu-Trigger wins hands down.

I can do wonders with a Remington 700 trigger...

The browning A-bolt is user adjustable, down to three pounds and is quite crisp. The CZ with the set trigger is sweet, and I like Tikkas trigger cause they break absolutly perfectly. The are really crisp.

I've never tried the Savage AccuTrigger so I can't comment on that. Of all the rifles I've owned, the best handsdown is my Knight Disc Rifle.
