A use for the 500 S&W

This aint susposed to be to serious of a post. I read the 500 Smith and Wesson and figured that we need to find a use for this beast.

1. Self defence-Even loaded with blanks one shot will get the attion out of a naborhood and scare the life out of who ever you were shooting at.:D

2. Fun- Take out to the range and tell everyone it don't kick and wacth there eyes when they fire it.

3. Ego- Who's is bigger and badder?;)

On that note, this is all fine and dandy if you can afford to buy the gun and ammo.

For serious handgunners, I could see people using this for deer, pig, elk, whatever. Still doesn't have the energy of a 300win mag or whatever.

I'd like to take that gun and put a .44 barrel on it and get a cylinder made for a 44-500S&W. Now that would be one heck of a hunting gun.;):D

The gun costs too much and so does the ammo. 12 rounds of Cor-bon is $37.95!! Thats crazy! I'm a die-hard pistol hunter and would love to justify a 500, but I don't see it happening.

I'm still scratching my head over the 45-70 revolver I saw a few years ago.
I guess you could look at the .500 as a multiple shot Encore.[:-]

Its best use is as a HYPEMASTER for gun writers. Reading about it is as close as I ever want to get to one.:D

I've always liked the 500 just because if i ever go deer hunting and it walks behind a nice brick wall, i always have the option of just shooting straight through it;)
