RE: Multiple shot accuracy

What about shooting compressed air from a can like you use to clean the computer, or an air compressor? I saw this in a magazine, either Rifle or Handloader, but had never thought about it!

Stubblejumper, do you have a 700 Ti? Or another pencil barrel gun ultralight?
I have owned two model sevens in 7mm-08 and both shot very good three shot groups when the three shots were fired one after the other without cooling.

RE: Multiple shot accuracy

I went to the range today with my H&R .223 and my Savage 110 .30-06. When I shot a three shot group without a delay from the .223, the first two shots were about 1/4" away from each other, and the third one went 2" up and right. A little later, I did another three shot group, but waiting three or four minutes between shots. The shots ended up in a perfect triangle. I think the heat of the barrel has a lot to do with it. My .30-06 shot like it normally does with 3 shot groups, a perfect triangle, as long as I do my part.

Thanks fr the in put eveyone, guess what was andd is making me nuts is my model seven in 308 will group under and inch all day...the 260 Ti will be dead on...and the first two will touch if i do my part but the third one is a flyer...maybe i am just not waiting long enough for this particular rifle to cool with its realy thin barel..but then again..if i do my part i will only need one shot :-}
