Whatever you do get one that feels good in your hand. I think a 40 or a 45 caliber would be great caliber wise. Good luck. Tell us what you get.

Winchester model 1300 Defender 12 gauge, half the price and you don't need to worry about stray or mis-placed bullets. Rem model 870 is a good choice as well.

I just bought a Glock 30 last weekend at a gun show and am really impressed. I've owned 4-5 Glocks before, but this is my first .45. I had narrowed it down to the Glock and the Para Ordinance LDA CCW, but the Para is about $300 more than the Glock. I really like the Para, but I can't see how I could shoot it any better than what I bought. Plus, I spent the extra $300 bucks on a Ruger 50th Anniversary Single Six...Momma is pissed.
