Need info on bullets for 25-06
I've been in shotgun country my whole life so I never had a need for a rifle but, I just bought an H&R 25-06 and need you guys to give me a crash course on what bullet styles are for what application. I'll be sticking with factory loads and see that they range from about 85 up to 120 grains. What I need to know is what are the differneces between the different bullet styles, ie: Nosler partition, ballistic tip,win silvertip, win PEP, hornaday BTSP, rem corelock. As of right know I will mainly be shooting paper so I suppose whatever shoots the best groups is what I'll use but, lets say I was going to go on an antelope or mule deer hunt what would be a good bullet and why? Are some of these bullet styles not for hunting? Do any of these have an accuracy advantage? Lastly, are there any websites that show what the different bullets look like and how they mushroom or expand upon impact? Thanks in advance to any help you can give this rookie.
