Mercury Recoil Suppressors
Hello all,
I've got a question about mercury recoil suppressors. Has anyone used them in their firearms and If so, how well do they work at reducing felt recoil? |
RE: Mercury Recoil Suppressors
I have one in the stock of my .300 win mag.
Seems to spread the recoil out a little and not such a sharp kick and a little less. Kicks feels about like a 30-06 with heavy bullets now. I would recommend them on a hard or sharp kicker. Definitely worth a try before putting on a muzzle break. |
RE: Mercury Recoil Suppressors
I have one in my trap gun. As for how well it works I wouldn't begin to guess on the actual foot pounds of recoil reduced but I certainly enjoy shooting 100 plus rounds a day. If recoil is a problem for you and you can afford the $50.00 then go ahead and try one. At the very least the mercury will add weight to the firearm and every ounce helps to reduce felt recoil. They come in a variety of sizes and no gunsmithing is required for installation. Were you inquiring for a rifle or shotgun?

RE: Mercury Recoil Suppressors
Thanks for the input, I was looking at these suppressors for my .338 UM. It's not that bad, but if you could add the weight and shoot more comfortably then why not! I wouldn't think of fitting her with a muzzle brake... [:'(]
