RE: 303 british fans
While I haven't done much looking for parts I do not think that is wouldn't be hard finding parts. I have found replacment clips at midway. A great web site I found last year that will give you all the info you need is (surplusrifle.com). It has suggestion on how to clean, history, and even a parts break down on many military rifles in the WWII era. The articles are from collectors of the rifles themselves.
I found that you just can't collect one military rifle, once you buy one and tier it down, clean it up and shoot it you get a little hooked. I paid $50 for my turk m38 and I had more fun cleaning up. I have just finished reloading for my yugo m48 (8x57) and had a ball shooting it. I have a growing list of military rifle I want to pick up, with another 303 on the list.
Right now the list includes
Mosin Nagant
Another 303 (no 4 or older mkIII)
Schmit rubin in 7.5 cal,
Possible another 8x57 mauser (chec or 98k)
wish list-
Springfield 1903-A3
Krag Jorgenson 30-40krag

I have a long list of wants too, alot of them are getting into the pricey territory.
M1 carbine
MK1 no 3
no 4 MK 1
M94 mauser
M39 Mosin Nagant
SVT-40
M1917 enfield
1903 springfield (already have the 03A3)
A few more garands

Briman have you looked into a Curio & Relice license? It will allow you to buy military and relic rifles from places like southern oiho guns with out going through a dealer. If you collect a lot, and it looks as if you have a growing list like me, it can save you some money. If you go to suplusrifles.com and click on the forums it has a a lot of threads on how to apply for one. I am currently in the proccess of appling. It may worth looking into.

Almost everybody here in Canada has a 303 British; they had been sold in Department store catalogues in the 60s and 70s for around $20.00 Canadian. They are fun to shoot and ammo is plentiful. You can reload 303s everyone make bullets for them but do not go for maximum loads as the case head tends to brake off after 3 or 4 reloads because of the bolt design. Just one piece of trivia or myth; they say many Commonwealth solders could fire 10 rounds in 10 seconds; I can’t and do not know anyone who can.

Hi Quilly! You got my attention when you mentioned the "JUNGLE CARBINE
WITH WIERD MUZZLE CONE." The rifle in question is an ENFIELD Mk1 #5.
I had owned a Mk1 #4 for 30 years without knowing any other version
even existed. However one fine day I walked into OLSON SALES of
Green Bay to face the the HOLY GRAIL of ENFIELDS. Not only did I pick
it up and set it down 5+ times, it now rests in my cabinet with other
weapons of mass destruction. One thing I am finding is the elusiveness
of information to the obtaining of a bayonet for this model. I am hoping
our ENFIELD family can help me out on this issue. Good hunting! and by
the way, OLSON SALES has two more #5s.

skeevers..
i just saw another jubgle carbine in decent condition but since i am not an expert i could not tell how good she is. amazingly sight/post was not dinged or dented.the only thing i saw that i did not like was when i cycled the action it was hard to push back into the reciver and close the bolt. is that normal with these actions?
it was a MK1 #4 also the rear stock was kinda to short for me. but if the ammo was cheaper i would probally of bittten on the gun.

Hey Hey my buddy QUILLY!-
In response to the hard push during closing of the bolt of a Mk 1, this is
quite normal as you would be compressing the spring of the firing hammer. Upon cocking and reindexing the bolt, regardless if a cartridge
is in the magazine, the hammer spring compression upon bolt closure
(resistance) is normal. You would notice the bolt mechanism is cocked
backed and ready to fire at this time. If no rounds are desired to be
chambered when pushing the bolt foreward, simply hold the trigger back
when pushing the bolt. This will override the hammer spring compression.
As to finding a Mk1 #4 with a short stock, this is somewhat unusual as
normally they are found to be full sized ANTI AXIS weapons.
