why dont the just use a SA triger on SuperRedhawks
 

Why dont the quit putting DA triggers on super redhawks and some redhawks so that you can get a better trigger pull out of the box and in the future. on hunting guns DA is useless so why dont we combine the better recoil contrabilty of the DA frame and a plain SA trigger. this is somewhat solved by bisely grips but its not quite the same.

buy a blackhawk. any revolver that you have a trigger job will be better. i learned how do s&w and mine are smooth as glass.i can shoot as good d/a as s/a. in a police academy you shoot a revolver that way d/a only. years ago when i went through they (instructors) were amazed at my 686 . when i told them i did it they were really floored. i only do my own guns.

on the .357s and even some 44mags i can understand a DA trigger but on a 454 or a 480 thats not going to be used as a police pistol thers no point. and i think i am buying an SA next time around. i have a gp-100 and the Da on that makes sense because its not really a hunting pistol even though i use it as such. i was just wondering if there is some technical reasonin gbehind this

S&W lockwork won't hold up to continous use of heavy .44 mag loads. Ruger markets the Redhawk for those of us that can shoot double action accurately and want a gun that will hold up to the continous pounding of full power loads. You have a better grip when you shoot double action-your not shifting your thumb to cock the hammer.
