RE: 10/22 50 rnd drum legal?

I would check out the CFC website to be sure, but I think rimfires were exempt from the magazine limitations, these basically applied to centerfire rounds(both rifle and handgun)....not 100% sure though......

I know California and New Jersey are 2 states you shouldn't ship to. Any catalog that sells high-capacity magazines will have a restricted shipping list that will show the most recent states that they can't ship to, if this helps. The only rimfires exempt have fixed mags.

I just got a 50 round mitchell drum for a 10-22 ,along with 3 butler creek 25's .I got them from a friend in Ca that just wanted to get rid of them .He didn't want to get in trouble with having them. If 50's are that expensive I almost feel guilty with what I paid .

at gun shows people sell hi-cap or pre-ban mags all the time. it is legal to sell them (at least by federal law) but you would have to check your local laws too

i think that with all high capacity mags, they are legal to sell what was in the country before the ban. importation, manufacture are illegal. they are legal to own, you just can't go to the local __-mart to pick one up

RE: 10/22 50 rnd drum legal?

this is what the S.O. said about high capasity mags. If they were made before the ban they are leagle if they are in a gun made befoer the ban. now if it a new gun using the mag is ileagle. that was the rules on the srevic auto. the pistols were privitly owned but bought through the sO. if we bought the mag ou selves through a privet deller it had to be the 10 rnd mag to be leagle.
