RE: new BDL .300 UM
Try 94gr of H1000 with the Accubonds. Don't try to get them close to the rifling, cause it ain't going to happen with a factory 300RUM. Probably longest you can go and still go in your magizine is 3.63". But stubble on here gets them to 3.6".

RE: new BDL .300 UM
I load the 300ultramag to 3.670" for my 700 actions and they still function fine.I get the best accuracy by far with reloader 25.

RE: new BDL .300 UM
I was looking at them at the local Scheels store today. I was suprised to see that the BDL 300 and 7MM Ultra mags were the cheapest Bdls in the store. They run 50-75 dollars less than the standard calibers. Maybe it would be the time to get one. I quess I really don't don't have a good use for one though.[:o]

RE: new BDL .300 UM
Shoot 180 grain using RL-25 Its a hotter round and shoots better than h-1000.

RE: new BDL .300 UM
I tested the 180gr accubonds in my own 300ultramags recently and was dissapointed in the accuracy. One gun averaged about 1" with them and the other about 1-1/2".I had hoped to match the accuracy of the 180gr ballistic tip but this is not the case in my rifles as both average 1/2" with the 180gr ballistic tips.

RE: new BDL .300 UM
I totally agree Stubble. I had real high expectations out of the accubonds. Groups are ok. I get flyers alot with the 200gr. But recently had great luck with RL25 and 180gr tripleshocks. If I get this dialed in, might be the last load I work up for my 300RUM. I wouldn't care to use it on any animal from Elk to Moose to bear.
