Anyone ever bought a gun online.......

at one of the online auctions? Who have you used and do you recommend one in particular?

I purchaced a Springfield TRP 1911 online. The gun retailed for $1100.00 at my local dealer (plus 6% Ohio sales tax at that time).
The place I found was at www.Sportingarms.com He sold it to me for a little over $900.00. Federal law requires 3 Day express shipping of firearms so there won't be much of a wait. Really nice guy with plenty of guns to choose from . so far he's the best I've found. Jim

When you buy on-line, how much does your local FFL dealers charge you to have the weapon shipped there?

From the little information I've gathered around 20.00 is normal cost.

I've bought 2 off of gunsamerica with no problems. The local gun shop here charges $25 to transfer a gun.

My dealer charges $20 per firearm, but the fancy indoor range I go to charges $50 per! Needless to say, the guys at the range don't a lot of transfers.

FFYG's,
I've sold quite a few over the internet, but after the last one I'm having second thoughts. All the shipping regs are murder. Unless you can get one heck of a deal on one I would buy or sell local from now on.
Have a good one.

I've bought 5 long guns and 1 handgun on www.gunbroker.com in the last couple of years and I've had no problems.
