270,280,30-06 are all good choices for hunting but i personaly would choice the 308. Ishot dozens of deer with a 308 and all with one shoot i also seen a dozen moose shoot with a 308. I watched my unkle take a 1300 pound moose with a 308 at 275 yard with one shoot the moose never took a step......i belive the 308 is really thet good

I was thinking about getting one ,a friend stoped in last night and showed
me his targets that he shot at 100 yds and after his scope was set his 165gr bt were inside a quarter,that got my attention,and by the way it sure looks to me like a good hunting cartrige.

I have a 308, 270, and 30-06. I see no difference in accuracy. I prefer the 30-06 because of its versatility.
