that coating that they put on the ballistic tips,can u get it off? how?

Do you mean remove the coating from the bullets or from your barrel?If you are referring to the ballistic silvertips it may be possible to remove the coating from the exposed part of the bullet but you would have to pull the bullets to remove it all.If you are referring to removing the coating from the barrel sweets 7.62 will do that.If you don't want to deal with this coating remington and federal sell loads with uncoated ballistic tips.

Quilly-ballistic silvertips are coated with lubalox not moly.The other combined technologies bullets such as the failsafes and partitions are moly coated but the ballistic silvertips are lubalox coated.
