Lever fans?

I am addicted to lever action, big bullets, big bores, deep penetration and nice wood stocks. Anybody else have similar addictions? Seems there are alot of bolt action fans on here. I haven't quite been able to trust a bolt action gun yet (really, every time I go to buy a gun a new Marlin jumps out at me and I leave with that instead of the Magnum I went to buy). Just curious as to who is another fan of the action that won the west here.

I am also a fan fan of the things you mentioned.
I especailly like Marlins too, but would own just about any of them except a Browning. ( I know this will catch some flak) ;)
I own all types of firearms but am partial to levers and single shots.

I too recently got the lever bug. It all started with a Marlin 336 in 35 Rem about 5 yrs ago. Then, I got a Marlin 1895 Guide gun in 45-70 (the ported one). What a great little rifle. Then I got a Marlin 1894 cowboy edition i 44 mag.
But my latest and dearest is an old Winchester model 71 in .348 Win. Took it out this year cause it shot so good, and shot a deer with it at around 200 yds. Drop it in its tracks. I bought it for a song and was going to resell it for a quick buck but I really like this old timer.

Bronko. I had one of those Model 71's in 348 as well. Probably the slickest smoothest Lever gun ever made. I still have my old 1970 model Marlin 45-70 with the straight stock. Its getting to show some wear and tear sighns but I still use it. I shot a 500 lb + black bear with it. The bullet went in the top of the head, all the way down the center of the neck and it was under the hide between the front legs. This after expanding to twice the caliber size. It was the 350 grain Hornady round nose at about 1900 fps.

I'm pretty addicted to tall blondes, big.....oh, we're talkin about guns:D[8D][&:] Just kidding...

I'm a huge lever action fan, I'm pretty well addicted to all guns-I've got a battery that would outfit several people for any hunt on the planet-literally, but the only ones that I've got a "majority" in are lever actions and revolvers, reliving part of my family heritage I guess. I'm not really a fan of the .30-30, oddly enough, I've always felt that I can get the same performance (hunting wise) from a .44mag, using half the powder and getting twice the magazine capacity.

ALL of my leverguns are Marlins, my shooters at least, I've got some 99's (savages) that I don't even touch except to keep the rust off of them, mint condition, hopefully fetch a fair price someday, maybe put my great grandkids through college after I kick off. I HATE winchester 1894's.

I'm not wary of bolt guns, I've got several and use them probably as much or more than my leverguns, but they're far from being my favorites.

Nothing shoulders, and finds the target faster than a Marlin lever action, (In my opinion.) I like my Weatherby Vangard .270, but I use it only when I have to in open country. Another must for me in a gun, is a wood stock. I like a gun I can sit back and admire, and to me the lever gun is king.
