frizzeller & other 300 users ?
Frizz, I notice you are always mentioning your 300 WIN on the board here. I just purchased one last Xmas. Do you handload ? What pet loads you got going ? I'm using my 300 for bear and elk only, so I was going to load 200 grain Partitions. Anybody else out there with pet loads let me here them ! Thanks.

FlatTop, I do have a pet load, but believe it or not it is just a little hotter than a 30-06 load. Where I hunt it is impossible to take over a 200 yard shot, and the deer around here are by no means monsters, so I opted for a milder round. I am shooting 150 grain Sierra Pro Hunters over IMR 3031. I forget the exact charge and I am at work so I don't have my notes. I want to say 57.6 grains. Never tried a 200 grain bullet yet.

My pet load is either a Sierra 168gr,BTHP Match King or a Speer 165gr,BTSP over 74grs of IMR-4350 and lite off with a Fed Mag primer. 3200fps and 3/16" groups at 100yds and 1" groups at 300yds.
