RE: Slugs through a full choke??

Slugs won't hurt anything when firing them out of a full choke but accuracy often will suffer quite a lot depending upon the gun. It'll sometimes deform the slug and cause it to go into parts unknown. Also, be sure and pattern that 00 buck. When shooting the larger buckshot more choke doesn't always mean tighter patterns for the same reasons that accuracy suffers from a full choke with a slug. With the larger buckshot a tighter choke will squeeze it more resulting in deformed pellets which often opens up the pattern quite a bit. The only way to know what will happen with your gun is to try it. Each gun is an individual.
