I don't trust remington ammo. I've had core-locts not expand and so have my friends and father. Any factory that will put junk like that out I don't want to have anything to do with. I think someone hit the nail on the head when they said they were inconsistant from box to box. Now when the ammo works as it is suppose to they work great. I stick to winchester and federal.

quilly, i have bought the core lock ammo for 22.50 per box at my local store, and the scirroco for 33.00 per box in 300rum and 26.00 in the 7mm mag.
as for the core lock performance, it did not shoot the groups that i would have liked them to shoot, about 1.25 inch, they performed flawlessly on all of the deer i have shot, and many of them past 300 yards. i shoot the 140 grain in a 7mm mag sendero, i am quite satisfied.
in the upcoming year i will be loading 140gr nosler ballistic tips, they shoot very well, about .500 at 100 yards, which is acceptable.
