These should be pretty cool to try out on bigger stuff like Beavers. I was just looking for scopes on sale and wound up clicking on the rimfire ammo link. They list the 20 gr at 7.99 a box @ midwayusa 20 gr jhp xtp

Hi TREEDOG,

I was hoping that Hornady would bring out a load with their 25grain bullet for the .17HMR. CCI has had a 20grain hollowpoint out for nearly as long as Hornady had their 17grain bullet. I think Hornady already has a 25grain that's designed for their .17 Remington cartridge. That bullet would probably not expand at .17HMR velocities......so they most likely didn't want to have to redevelope it and then carry two of the same weight with different performance characteristics.

But it is interesting to see what other developments come from it!

Ive had the hummer for over a year, never seen a cci 20 grain 17 hmr load[:-] Only seen the 17gr cci loads.
