Well I finally finished my first custom rifle yesterday and brought it home today.:D

It's built on a Howa short action (cause that's what we get with the school). Has a 25 inch #3 contoured Schillen barrel chambered in .300 WSM. with a 25 degree crown.

Synthetic stock built from a basic shell on up. It has a drop down thumb style (similar to a TC but not as drastic) grip with a palm swell and raised cheek piece with a black rubber finish.

The bolt and magazine follower are both jeweled. The bottom side of the bolt handle is modified to fit the contour of the palm of my hand.

The rest of the metal has been parkerized except for the bottom metal which is aluminum. That will get sent off later to be anondized.

Got a trigger on back order for it cause Brownells was out of stock.[&:]

I can't wait to take my first elk with this guy.;):D Now I just need to get the scope for it and I'll be in business. I'll try to get some pics and post them.
