I don't know of one hunter I know that doesn't have at least one .22 lr in his entourage. Which is your favorite .22, or which is the best in your opinion.
Mine has to be marlin semiautos. A model 66 to be exact. I've had one since x-mas, but I've played with my dad's 66 for years. They're as accurate as I could ask them to be, durable, and cheap. Only draw back that I have seen with them is that my dad's jams a bit, but that's likely to be because he only cleans it once a year, and shoots about 1000 rounds just during coon season.
GOTTA LOVE THAT MARLIN MAGIC!!!!

I AGREE, YOU GOTTA LOVE THOSE .22'S. MY PREFERENCE IS A 10/22 IN STAINLESS WITH A SIMMONS SCOPE FIVE THIRTY ROUND MAGAZINES. I USE IT TO PRUNE THE MESQUITES AROUND CAMP, ONE BRANCH AT A TIME. HOURS OF FUN NOT TO MENTION GOOD PRACTICE.

i knew when i read the thread title that this was about the .22 and sure enough here it is.
right now i have the desire to take out the tiny marlin i learned to shoot on and my buckmark. go up to the range and plink. we havent shot that little marlin single shot in years. we have 6 others (i didnt relize that many until now). maybe i will take them all up to the the range some day. shoo the little marlin, the semiauto marlin (its jams i will get the model and ask you some questions), norinco bolt action, 10/22, buckmark, highstandard semiauto pistol, and the old highstandard revolver. that doesnt include the S&W model 1 thats in horrible shape that we go when an aunt passed
need to plink more.

Greets,
Ahhh the lovely .22rimfire! I have personnally owned a ruger 10/22 and my current which is an old Wards model Bolt .22. I think its made by mossburg. I love mine, but I wouldnt begin to call it the "best". I intend to scope it eventually, but for now its open sight.
Just my uneducated opinion!

Now you guys got me curious. I need to count how many .22's we have around here...My favorite is a Rem 552 Speedmaster my Uncle gave to me when I was 13. It would be a Marlin 39A my Great Uncle left when he passed away. But my Son decided it was his. He does let me shoot it sometimes! In the last couple of years I have really enjoyed shooting my Ruger handguns. We go through a lot of .22 shells here, as I have a pretty nice practice range set up in the back yard.

My favorite rifle is my Browning BL-22 lever action. My favorite .22 pistol is my old Colt single action revolver.
You can't beat a .22 for all around fun shooting and great practice.
