Leupold DD bases and Burris Sig rings?

Are dove tail designs standard so that I can use Burris Signature rings on Leupolds bases?

Signature Rings would/should be compatible with Leupold bases. What I have found with Signature rings or any Burris rotary ring for that matter is that they are much tighter to rotate then a corresponding Leupold. If one were to use the old method of rotation(using a scope as a lever) you would probably bend a scope using Burris rotary rings...

I got Leupold DD bases and burris sig rings. I was braggin about these rings and then they came loose on me last week at the range. Noticed my scope's recticle was turned. Never had that happen on Leupold rings. Make sure you locktight those rings.

Yea on a 300RUM. I have had a few of these magnums and when I properly install the screws on Leupold rings, I have yet for the torx screws to come loose in 3 years for a 300RUM. But did on these new burris rings. Reason I changed over is I wanted to fully ultilize my target scopes elevation adjustment all the way up 1000 yards. Maybe I had some oil left or something on the rings when I installed. but I am 90% sure I used locktight blue on them as I always do.

Oldelkhunter is right on about the Signature rings being tighter to turn. I added a set and using one of my alignment rods to to turn it. That was a pain to turn, the shorter rod, while heavy, didn't give the leverage of the 3 foot dowel rod I was too lazy to go fetch. Ended up tweaking my wrist and it was tender for a week. Hard to imagine a scope tube surviving that.

I ended up taking the Signature rings off. I thought they'd line up easy like the Sako OptiLock system. Not so lucky. I maxed out the windage adjustment and was still several inches off. Rather than monkey around with the offset inserts I switched to Leupold rings and bases.
