Cabelas Pine Ridge?
IF i get a rifle there's no way i can afford to throw a leupold variXII as my first scope. i will eventually be able to put it on but not right after i buy the rifle. What about the Cabelas Pine Ridge scope? It would only be on there for MAYBE 4 seasons. With limited shooting also because i'll be in college. The prices are good im sure the quality isn't quite leuopold but is it better than simmons, tasco, and bushnell????
Thanks for any input! _ _ _ _ _ Remember "The 4 G's" God Guns Guitars Girls |
RE: Cabelas Pine Ridge?
Actually, they're pretty good scopes. The one I have is crisp and clear. Make sure you get one that will handle the shock of your rifle...

I keep sayin this but nobody seems to listen.
I mounted a Simmons scope on my 7mm because I could not afford a nice one. That was 2 years ago and I'm keepin it. Never lost it's mark. I think I paid $39.69 at Walmart for it. |

i refuse to buy simmons... i just won't.. if i did it would be on a .22 MAYBE.. i'd might buy a bushnell MAYBE tasco... but i rather have leupold but can't afford it.. lets just say you got lucky with your simmons scope.

RE: Cabelas Pine Ridge?
I like them. I use them on my rifles with little recoil though. I have seen one fail on a 300Mag. The crosshairs seem to fall, but cabelas gave another. I have on on my 22LR and one on my muzzleloader. Look into the Alaskian Guide series from cabelas. I know people who love them.
