i am on the look out for a scope for my F.N. sporter chambered in 35whelen.

i have come down to ..

1.75-6X32MM OR 1.5-5x20MM

it seems the only differance is that the 1.75-6X32mm has a bigger bell housing for the obj lens. and the 20mm is a smaller compact tube.
is there any pro's con's of having the smaller bell housing over the bigger 32mm?
it will be used for stillhunting/stalking in the swamp and thick stuff.


your ideas from people who own either these scopes or scopes with a smaller OBJ lens would be appreciated.

Quilly...I've always liked the larger objective. I guess it is personal choice.

I will say one thing...when you get done with this, you are going to have one sweet knock-down machine!

I always like the larger obj it usually has a wider field of view and and better ligth gathering.

I'd recommend finding a 40mm objective. But defiantely avoid those 20mm jobs. They just don't allow enough light to enter the scope.
