Weaver scope??
 

I'm looking at the Weaver Grand Slam to put on the new rifle that I'm getting. Are Weavers any good? I'm also looking at Nikon and Leupold scopes. Is one better than the others and why? Thanks

I have a Grandslam,I picked one up when they first came on the market! Good scope but I still prefer Leupold...;)

I assme you're talking about the japanese made weavers....I've owned two...a 40 MM objective and a 50MM objective....the latter I didn't like...the former is a very good scope.

I've never found cost to be a factor in the quality of a scope.....a lot of folks will disagree with that statement.

You’ve posted a similar question on the hunting gear review forum. I had given you a link on a good review for the Weaver Grand Slam. What did you think and have gone to see them?
Personally I find the Nikon brighter then the Leupold but overall I find the Leupold to be a better quality scope.

Trailer...I did read the review at the link you posted. Good info. I was just hoping to get some more input from people that I trust to give me good info. I like the Nikon Monarch, but want to cover all my bases before I leap.

I personally believe the Nikon Monarch and Weaver Grand Slams are very close, but I like the Nikon slightly better.

i have 3 one on the 22 mag that was 89 $ one on the 243 that was 500 $ and then one on the 30-06 that was 650$ i love weavers i think there the best scopess there are
