Weatherby Vanguard 300 Wby
 

Walmart has Weatherby Vanguards in 300 Weatherby for $469. Seems like a good deal. Says it is a limited edition. What has anyone heard or seen about this rifle?

probably hard to go wrong at that price...I'd personally prefer a little less shoulder thump than the 300 Wby though, opting instead for a .270 Win. for whitetails/mulies, or even elk, although admittedly, the .300 Wby would be superior for a primary elk rifle.

The Vanguards I've seen have been quite attractive, and the reviews on them are quite good, especially so at sub-$500!

$469 seems a little high I just laid a vanguard away at wal-mart 300wby it was only $388 i HOPE IT SHOOTS GOOD

I am not sure about the that vanguard but i do have the vanguard VGX in 270 wby mag and love it. Also the 300 wby mag can do anything so go for it and good luck with it also.

I have owned the Wal-Mart .300 Wby Mag since last March. I bought it for $388 +tax. I threw a Leupold 3-9X40 on it and I've never been happier. This rifle is as accurate as my Sako .30-06 and has twice the attitude. I just shot it today with Barnes X handloads and shot 4 bullets into 2 holes. The group was .75 inches. One piece of advice....put a good recoil pad on it. A synthetic .300 Weatherby begs for more than a solid rubber butt-plate. Buy this rifle; how could you regret spending $388 this way???

I have the Vanguard in the .300 WBY also, and I paid $388.00 from Wal-Mart! This gun is a good shooter,for the money you can't go wrong...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
