A-bolt stainless M-1000 eclipse
Anyone have any experience or comments about this gun, or the overall quality of Brownings in general. How do they compare to a Tikka in quality and accuracy? I've never owned one and would like some input. Thanks for the help

wvbowhnter,
I don't have any experience with the Eclipse but have experience with a Stainless Stalker. It is an excellent gun. I personally would rather have it over a Tikka. I don't think there has ever been any question about Browning's quality or accuracy. I think you would be very satisfied with an A-Bolt. |

Stainless Eclipse???? I'll have to visit their sight more often.
It's a great rifle. A very close friend of mine has one in .300 Win Mag. The weight really helps keep down the recoil, as well as the BOSS. Even with the CR BOSS on it (CR=conventional recoil) it's very manageable due to it's weight. But that's also the biggest draw back to it. By the time you add scope, rings, bases, bipod (if you use one), sling, and load it with ammo, it's a pain in the pattoot to carry in the field. But, I saw him poleax a coyote at better than 500 yards with it, so it's all subjective. It's a great rifle. |
