For me, they are:

Semi-Auto: Benelli Super Black Eagle
Pump: Remington 870 Wingmaster (not the cheapo Express)
Over/Under: Franchi Veloce
Side/Side: No experience with.
Single Shot: No experience with.

Pump = Benelli Nova
O/U = Franchii Alcione (Benelli Sub)
sxs = Ithaca
Single Shot = NEF

Justification
1.) SA Benelli M-1 will do everything a SBE will except the 3.5" shells. I don't goose hunt so all other app's the 3"mag is more than enough. If I need 3.5, see #2

2.) Benelli Nova is darn near indistructable. Heard stories of guys dropping them in the lake duck hunting, pulling them out, checking the barrel and firing w/o a problem. Will shoot the 3.5 if necessary.

3.) I like the alcione b/c you can get interchangable barrels w/o sending in for headspacing. I just ordered a set of 20ga barrels for mine. Also, all three listed use the same choke tubes! Big plus!

4.) My uncle has one and it's a sweet shooter. Personally, I'm not a big sxs fan, but this one is nice.

5.) I don't have one yet, but will when I get into turkey hunting. I have the ultra in .223 and can send in for a 10 or 12ga barrel. Have to send in the gun, but NBD on that. Will problebly get a .243 and .308 as well when I do.

For a pump either one of the mossbergs or a benelli nova will hold up to almost anything you can put it through.

Auto, The A-5 is the best ever made, bar none.
Pump, The Model 12 just as in autos with the A-5 the Model 12 has no compitition.

I'm very pleased with my Remington 870 Wingmaster. It certainly gets the job done. There are fancier models out there, but it's tough to beat an old classic.

I’ve had my Beretta Semi-Auto for years and have never had a problem with it..I would also say the Remington 870 Wingmaster or Express would be among the top reliable shotguns.o

i know u guys wont aggree with me but.....

remi 870 express super mag.

im only 18 but i have shot a nova, wingmaster, beretta (dunno which model) and my great grandfathers Ithaca 12g pump <---- love that gun

i bought my 870 super mag combo a month or so ago and the only thing i found wrong with it so far is it dont like those super cheap winchester all purpose shells.
besides that, nothing wrong with it. i think its smooth as the wingmaster but definatley ugly compared to the wingmaster. i like the beretta but i like the pump better for some reason.....guess i just like the sound of pumpin it :D. my dad has a nova and i like it except its heavier, makes more noise when pumped, and i dont like the look of the nova.

my 870 shoots great patterns, its lighter than nova (i do alot of rabbit hunting so i walk far), it was a combo that was cheap compared to others, dunno how to explain but, when i shoulder it, it goes to the exact same spot everytime and it makes it very easy for me to hit stuff. (shoot 46 outta 50 clays, only missed 1 rabbit outta about 9 or 10, actually hit my first grouse with it, and ive missed a few hard shots on crows)

it may not be another persons favourite but its mine cuz it works great with no problems and i can really hit stuff with it.

Pretty vague question, but here is my vote/s. Let me first state that I am in fact a 12 gauge, semi-auto chauvinist.

Overall: Browning Auto-5 Magnum 12. Belgium or Japan I don't care, same gun.

Waterfowl: Browning Gold 3 1/2 12 ga. with 28" barrel in shadow grass.

Upland: Franchi AL-48 12 ga. with 26" barrel.

Turkey: Browning Gold 3 1/2" or Benelli SBE with 24" barrels and camo.

Crow/Early Waterfowl: Beretta Pintail (ES100), Franchi 612, or Weatherby SAS. All in 3" 12 ga. with 26" barrels and camo.

Remington Model 11/Sportsman, I prefer the Sportsman, but they are nearly identical. These were made on the Browning patent.

I have been useing the Charles Daly for sevral years now and have not had any major problems with it. I own three of them now and wil not switch to another gun unless given to me. :D

I know yall will think im crazy but
pump / remington 870 express mag . Ive had mine for a few years now and its never messed up its my go-to gun for all round huntin.
semi auto/ remington 1100 or 11-87 just because these are the only semi autos ive ever shot and theve all worked fine for me cept for one little problem i had with my 11-87 when i first got it... the person who owned it before me never cleaned it and after i bought it i didnt have time to sit down and clean it real good but after i did that it has shot fine since. And like some one else said benellis are fine if you got the $$. just my 2 cents

I really have expereince with pump shotguns, and I love the feel of the Winchester Model 12. It has to be one of the sweetest handling shotguns ever made. As far as versatility, I dont think you can beat a Mossberg 835, It can do just about anything you ask it to do withouta fuss
